Ceftriaxone in It kills the infection-causing bacteria by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall. It will be given to you at a hospital under the medical supervision of a doctor and nurse. Do not self inject. Your doctor or nurse will give you this injection as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or a muscle after assessing the correct dose for you based on the severity of the infection.
